Description

An introduction to a broad set of enabling skills and knowledge that support both the learning and practice of architecture and other related disciplines. Techniques covered include: sketching & measured drawing; observation & recording techniques; computer literacy & use of application software; library & research skills; academic writing & referencing; critical thinking & argumentation; and verbal communication & presentation. Weekly lectures introduce appropriate techniques complemented by tutorials where those are applied. Learning is enhanced and assessed through project work.
