Description

This course is the culmination of the architectural computing studios. Each student will seek out a client and then develop and produce a project for that client. The project will both develop and demonstrate their knowledge and key skills. The project may investigate any of the technologies or issues introduced in their preceding studies. Students will need an understanding of the following knowledge areas: webpage design, modelling, visualisation and BIM. After the initial introductory lectures, students will have weekly group meetings to discuss their progress and any problems being encountered. During the session there are a number of “milestones” including precedent studies and seminars that the students complete. In addition to the weekly face-to-face contact, students will produce webpages showing their week’s progress and will participate in class online discussions. Students will produce a report describing and discussing their project, in addition to a poster & webpages which will summarise and present their work. The students will also organise the ArchComp end of year exhibition.
