Description

Sustainability, broadly, is interpreted as a balance between economic/financial, social and environmental concerns. How construction addresses these three pillars is the subject of the course. Within the social pillar, health and safety of workers is paramount, along with working conditions. Within the environmental pillar, of immediate concern to society is energy usage, waste and carbon emissions. Overarching these is being able to address social and environmental concerns in an economical way.
