Description

SART1002 Fine Arts Gateway 2 is an introductory studio course. It explores the creative potential of practice-based research and experimental art making in either Painting and Drawing, Printmaking, Textiles, Photography, Cross Media Arts or Sculpture, Installation, Performance. Students will nominate one area of studio interest in which to complete conceptually based projects. These projects provide an understanding of a particular mode of art practice that supports a synthesis of fine art ideas, processes and materials in a final artwork.

Focused experiences in this course will assist students select studio areas for further study. SART1002 and SART1001 are complementary courses that may be completed in any order.
