Description

Subject Area: Japanese Studies

The course provides a late intermediate level program in Japanese language study. Following the 'Intermediate Japanese B', a prerequisite for this course, students continue to develop their intercultural communication skills as well as learn new Japanese structures, expressions, and interaction strategies. It also includes vocabulary learning where students learn 200 kanji. In each topic, students learn the current socio-cultural issues in Japan.

They are taught through four social/cultural topics:

1. Japanese geology
2. Japanese technology
3. Japanese sports
4. Japanese food
