Description

Pre-requisites: AVIA1002 or AVIA2013, and AVIA2004 or AVIA2014

The course comprises the aeronautical theory and associated ground training for Stage 3 of the Bachelor of Aviation (Flying). Included are all theory requirements for the issue of an Air Transport Pilot (Aeroplane) Licence (ATP(A)L), taught as seven discrete modules. Additionally, the course covers the aeronautical theory required to support the various elective components of the course selected by the student. Electives are Flight Instructor Rating, Airline experience, Multi-crew cooperation training, General Aviation, or a Research project. This course encompasses Phases 9 – 12 as detailed in the UNSW Manual of Flight Training, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority Day VFR Syllabus – Aeroplane. Practical flying training (AVIASC13) is a highly recommended adjunct to this course.
