Description

This course will equip students with skills and knowledge for assessing movement, and for instructing therapeutic exercises and other movement tasks. It will integrate concepts from biomechanics and functional anatomy to assist in the analysis and instruction of movement. Throughout the course students will participate in many practical activities that aim to develop skills in quantitative (measured) and qualitative (observational) assessment of human movement. Students will develop practical skills in instructing therapeutic exercises, work tasks or activities of daily living, through careful consideration and application of scientific theories on motor learning and skill acquisition.
