Description

This course provides an overview of the application of molecular and cellular biology to the fields of medicine, plant and animal science, and food, marine and environmental sciences. It draws comparisons between contemporary and conventional technologies through the introduction of traditional and recombinant genetics, microbiology, biochemistry and fermentation engineering in the context of their contribution to the industrial application of biological systems.
