Description

This course is designed to introduce students to research methodology, and to stimulate critical and lateral thinking in the context of problem solving. The course involves directed reading, laboratory work and use of internet resources. Students work on a research project under the supervision of a member of the academic staff.

Enrolment in this course is by invitation and is based on academic performance. Interested students should contact the course coordinator or the BSB Student Office (BABStudent@unsw.edu.au)

Note:This course is restricted to students who have completed 48 units of credit, have a WAM of 75 or more and are enrolled in a Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Microbiology or Molecular and Cell Biology major in one of the following programs*:
  • Bachelor of Science
  • Bachelor of Advanced Science
  • Bachelor of Medical Science
*including associated dual degree programs.
