Description

This course introduces students to the principles and techniques of documenting landscape projects for construction. Standard construction practices and relevant Australian Standards are introduced. The course supports the concurrent studio by focusing on construction and documentation in relation to landform and planting design. Topics include material selection, grading, earthworks, and drainage design. The course introduces Standard Documentation for construction purposes in plan, detail and specification formats. Students use 2D and 3D computer aided design to prepare and document a professional standard planting plan, and to document landform and drainage designs.
