Description

The purpose of SCIF1131 is to introduce students to two really useful sets of skills: work-readiness and
basic coding.

The work-readiness course component aims to equip students with the skills of teamwork, professionalism and communication, and a sense of community. These skills are necessary for university life, to gain internships and work placements, and for their longer-term career.

The basic coding element of this course aims to provide students with an introduction to coding that will be useful throughout their university study in assignments and research projects, such as theses, and in many scientific careers.
