Description

This course examines the major environmental health issues facing our global environment in the 21st century, important concepts of environmental health, the range of factors impacting upon global environmental health, key environmental hazards posing risks to human health and safety, and several programs and policies in place to address environmental health issues. Topics covered include Introduction to Ecological Principles, Population Dynamics, Population Control, the People-Food Predicament, Impacts of Growth on Ecosystems, Environment-related Disease, Toxic Substances, Pests and Pesticides, Food quality, Radiation, the Atmosphere, Air Pollution, Noise Pollution, Water Resources, and Water Pollution.
