Description

Indonesia is a country of strategic importance to Australia. It is an emerging economy in the Asia-Pacific region with a large Muslim population. This course is a continuation from Indonesian 1D to further develop your competence in the Indonesian language acquisition and cultural understanding of Indonesian society. This course will enable you to understand current socio-cultural issues of Indonesia through the study of the Indonesian language and culture. It focuses on oral competence in Indonesian as well as providing an understanding of Indonesian cultures and society. Students are expected to read and respond to authentic Indonesian materials. This course is a continuation of ZHSS1304 Indonesian 1D being the language course in 'post-year 12' stream in Indonesian studies.
