Description

Indonesia is a country of strategic importance to Australia. It is an emerging economy in the Asia-Pacific region with a large Muslim population. This course will enable you to understand current socio-cultural issues of Indonesia through the study of the Indonesian language and culture. This is the first session of a third-year Indonesian language course, which focuses on oral competence in Indonesian as well as providing an understanding of Indonesian cultures and society. Students are expected to read and respond to authentic Indonesian materials.
