Description

Geography 1A sets you on a journey to exercise your geographical imagination. The course progresses through broad themes, beginning with an overview of the history and scope of geographic thought. It quickly progresses to a focused study of the Geography of Alpine Environments, which includes the inspirational Kosciuszko Field School. Three interlinked modules then comprise the core of the course, namely Global Biodiversity, The Geography of Health, and Military Geography. Geography 1A shows how a geographic perspective links people’s activities with their environments. This helps us to understand our world and work toward improving it.
