Plan Outline

This plan is for students enrolled in Environmental Science, undertaking a disciplinary specialisation in Chemistry. Students choose a diclinary specialisation in combination with the core component of the Environmental Science degree.

In order to complete a disciplinary specialisation in Chemistry, students must successfully complete the following courses:

MATH1031 Mathematics for Life Sciences (6 UOC)

PLUS one of the following:

CHEM1021 Fundamentals of Chem 1B (6 UOC)
CHEM1041 Higher Chemistry 1D (6 UOC)

Stage 2

CHEM2011 Physical Chemistry (6 UOC)
CHEM2031 Inorganic Chemistry&Structure (6 UOC)
CHEM2041 Chem & Spectroscopic Analysis (6 UOC)

Stage 3

CHEM3041 Analytical Chemistry (6 UOC)
CHEM3311 Environmental Chemistry (6 UOC)

PLUS 6 UOC from:

PLUS 6 UOC of Level II Chemistry

Note: Students who do CHEM3311 will be exempt from CHEM3901.
