Geology

Description

Geology is the science of the earth, its constitution and evolution in a broad sense. Applied Geology involves a more specific interest in the application of earth science for the benefit of human civilisation and includes, for example, surveying metallic ore deposits, fossil fuels and groundwater resources, and applying geological knowledge in a range of engineering and environmental contexts.

Studying Geology at UNSW

Geology is generally studied as a major or minor within a Science degree program. Prospective students should refer to the discipline of "geoscience" for further information.
