Description

This course provides candidates enrolled in research programs with the opportunity to read intensively, with appropriate consultation and supervision, in an area of interest in education that has been approved by the program authority. Where appropriate, a candidate may supplement their reading by auditing a related course. This course will enable candidates to prepare a literature review and research proposal and as such, in this context, the assessment task will be to complete an Introductory/Literature Review Chapter that critically places the published works in the context of the appropriate field of study and provides an overview of the thesis topic as a whole. Candidiates are also supported to develop their ability for research writing in education through examining current research and practice in professional and academic writing.
