This course will provide you with an understanding of the functional and clinical anatomy of the viscera of the thorax, abdomen and pelvis. The focus is on the organ systems (respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, urinary, reproductive, lymphatic and autonomic nervous systems) and their integration with each other. The course will enable you to build a 3-dimensional understanding of the human body and to apply this to cross-sectional and imaging anatomy.
With emphasis on clinically oriented anatomy as well as medical imaging, this course would be directly applicable to research in anatomy or premedical preparation. It could also be used towards obtaining a major in Anatomy.
